Venturing away from the famous Las Vegas Strip, Virgin Hotels Las Vegas joins the Curio Collection by Hilton™, aiming to redefine the traditional concept of a casino resort. Opening its doors on March 25, 2021, Virgin Hotels Las Vegas continues the legacy of the Virgin Hotels brand, known for its commitment to creating an engaging and inclusive atmosphere for both travelers and locals. This establishment marks the fourth addition to the resort collection.
In a recent announcement by JC Hospitality, Richard ‘Boz’ Bosworth, the President and CEO, expressed gratitude, saying, “Reaching this significant milestone and setting an opening date wouldn’t have been possible without our exceptional partners and construction team.” The creation of Virgin Hotels Las Vegas was a collaborative effort involving five premier design and construction firms: Rockwell Group, Klai Juba Wald Architecture + Interiors, Studio Collective, Taylor International Corporation, and McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. The project began in early February 2020.
The all-encompassing resort comprises three hotel towers with over 1,500 rooms and suites, the 60,000 sq. ft. Mohegan Sun Casino managed by Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, a sprawling five-acre pool oasis in the desert with a versatile event lawn, a live music and entertainment amphitheater accommodating 4,500 guests, and the intimate 24 Oxford showroom hosting 650 attendees. Additionally, the resort boasts a curated selection of twelve dining establishments, including popular venues like Night + Market by Kris Yenbamroong, the renowned Nobu, One Steakhouse by Michael and David Morton, and Casa Calavera by the Hakkasan Group. It will also introduce the dynamic sports, entertainment, daylife, and nightlife hub, Money, Baby!
For entertainment seekers, The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas will host electrifying live music events in its 4,500-capacity venue. For a more personal experience, the 24 Oxford club, named after Virgin Records’ roots on Oxford Street, invites guests to dance the night away. Adjacent to the new outdoor pool, the Day Club provides a relaxing spot with lounges, daybeds, and cabanas for guests to unwind and soak up the sun. A state-of-the-art fitness center will be complemented by a forthcoming spa that merges ancient wellness practices with modern amenities in its expansive 25,000 sq. ft. facility.
Nestled away from the bustling Strip at 4455 Paradise Road, the team is eager to celebrate the grand opening. Bosworth notes, “We are delighted to not only welcome guests to this highly anticipated resort in Las Vegas but also to provide our team members with the opportunity to return to work.”
