Many street-legal supercars take inspiration from their track-focused counterparts, incorporating racing technology to provide owners with a taste of high-performance without the usual restrictions. A Norwegian small-scale manufacturer is currently working on a special project involving a Lamborghini Huracán, and their hard work has now come to fruition with the introduction of the LP1200 Strada.
Zyrus Engineering has dedicated significant time to develop this exotic car. The base for this project is a Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo LP640-4 Performante. Despite the modifications, Zyrus Engineering pays homage to the Italian brand by retaining the badging and incorporating the country’s colors.
This approach allows the LP1200 Strada to maintain some of its original identity while showcasing substantial upgrades. It’s impressive to see that the Norwegian team behind this supercar is catering to both types of drivers. As a result, the Huracán Super Trofeo now offers two driving modes.
One mode is for owners who adhere to road regulations, while the other caters to performance enthusiasts who want to truly push their cars to the limit. Zyrus Engineering facilitates this through the LP1200 Strada’s Smart Dash control system, easily accessible via a smartphone app.
The car’s 5.2-liter V10 engine has been fitted with an in-house twin-turbo setup, increasing the power output to 900 horsepower. When on the track, a simple switch unleashes the full 1,200 horses. Additionally, Zyrus Engineering utilizes carbon fiber construction and reduces the overall weight to 3,146 lbs, with a substantial rear wing aiding in keeping the car planted.
