Ralph Lauren has expanded its range of watches with the release of Polo Vintage 67, a new series of hand-wound watches designed to capture the essence of 1920s and 1930s timepieces.
The collection showcases simple time-only models adorned with retro black lacquer numerals, hands, and markers against an opaline silvered dial that exudes a vintage charm. The dial is elegantly topped with a curved sapphire crystal and features a sub-seconds display for added functionality.
Distinct from recent Ralph Lauren Polo models featuring the Polo Bear or Polo Pony motifs on their faces, the Polo Vintage 67 series embraces a more classic aesthetic.
Enclosed within the 40mm aged-steel case is a custom-made La Joux-Perret manual-wind movement that boasts an impressive ninety-hour power reserve. Through the transparent sapphire case back, the intricate movement is visible, showcasing hand-finished vertical Côtes de Genève stripes and circular graining.
The watch comes with an interchangeable burnished tan calf strap that can be effortlessly swapped out thanks to a removable back pad. While the case and dial of the Polo Vintage 67 have been meticulously pre-aged by Ralph Lauren, the leather strap will develop a unique patina over time as it is worn. Price: $2,700.
