Protecting My Hair with Thoughtfully Made ‘Umanos’

Experiencing excessive hair shedding prompted me to investigate the cause. Could it be my diet, hormonal changes, jet lag, physical stress, or the abnormal heat in my hometown? Regardless, I realized I needed to change my hair care routine. That’s when I discovered umanos, a new self-care brand from Seattle that offers eco-friendly products that are gentle on both the user and the environment.

umanos’ hair care collection, known as The Marine Greens, is free from sulfates, silicones, parabens, phthalates, synthetic fragrances, and other harsh ingredients commonly found in hair products. Drawing inspiration from the beautiful coastlines of the Pacific Northwest, The Marine Green shampoo and conditioner are crafted using 100% clean and plant-based ingredients. They also include a unique blend of seaweed superfoods that provide more than 65 vitamins, minerals, and nutrients.

What sets umanos apart is their commitment to minimizing their impact on the planet. Their products are made with sustainable materials, eliminating the use of single-use plastics. Each product undergoes rigorous testing to ensure quality and effectiveness and is produced in a solar-powered facility in the US. Additionally, umanos donates 1% of every purchase to clean water access efforts in developing countries.

Alisha Stephens, the founder of umanos, stated, “The Marine Greens Collection was created to meet the needs of conscious consumers who are looking for cleaner and more sustainable hair care products, without compromising on quality. Our products offer a healthier and more environmentally friendly option, and it’s exciting to see them becoming a part of people’s daily routines.”

While the exact cause of my hair loss remains unknown, I take solace in the fact that umanos’ Marine Greens hair care products provide gentle care for my hair. Who wouldn’t appreciate a little more comfort in their daily life?

The Marine Greens collection starts at $24 and is available at selected retailers nationwide and online here.
