A New Addition to the Porsche Lineup: Taycan Cross Turismo Electric Crossover
- Porsche introduces the Taycan Cross Turismo crossover to complement its range of Taycan electric sedans, offering four versions: Taycan 4 Cross Turismo, Taycan 4S Cross Turismo, Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo, and Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo.
- The Taycan Cross Turismo is set to be available at U.S. dealerships by summer 2021.
- Pricing for the Taycan Cross Turismo starts at $90,900 for the base model Taycan 4 Cross Turismo and goes up to $187,600 for the high-end Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo.
- All variants of the Cross Turismo will come equipped with dual-motor all-wheel drive, two-speed rear transmission, Porsche Adaptive Suspension Management with air suspension, Performance Battery Plus with an 800-volt battery system, adaptive aerodynamics, panoramic glass roof, and Porsche’s PCM infotainment system.
- Compared to the Taycan sedan, the Cross Turismo features a longer, flatter roofline, offering more passenger and cargo space, as well as fender extensions, unique rocker panels, updated front and rear design, additional body cladding, and a slightly elevated ride height.
- Optional features include a roof transport system integrated into the standard roof rails and a rear-mounted bike rack.
- The Cross Turismo includes a Gravel drive mode that adjusts suspension, traction, stability control, and torque, providing increased ride height for off-road driving.
- Charging the Cross Turismo takes 10.5 hours for 100% with a 9.6 kW AC charger or approximately 22.5 minutes for up to 80% with a high-output DC charger like at a charging station, offering a range of over 200 miles on a single charge.
- The top-tier Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.7 seconds, just 0.1 seconds slower than the Taycan sedan.
