Our spacious pet-friendly room featured a king-sized bed, a large desk, and a coffee station. There was also a comfortable lounger near the window for relaxation.
A stunning mural on the wall behind the bed pays tribute to the history of shipbuilding in the area.
ALTO Terrace Bar + Kitchen, the hotel’s in-house restaurant, serves breakfast and dinner daily.
On the fourth floor, you’ll find this industrial-chic space with a massive sliding barn door that leads to a smaller room available for private events.
Make sure to try the local Maine mussels, which are served in a delicious tomato, chorizo, shallot, wine, and garlic broth. For the main course options, the pan-seared scallops on creamy risotto with asparagus tips, blistered tomatoes, and shaved parmesan are a hearty delight. The grilled swordfish steak is simply prepared with lobster and herb compound butter, accompanied by rice pilaf and haricot verts.
Portland is a pedestrian-friendly city that can easily be explored on foot. Start or end your visit with a stop at Shipyard Brewing Company, located next to the hotel. They offer a variety of brews, from classic American Pale Ale to seasonal favorites like Summer and Pumpkinhead Ales.
