Luxury Boutique Hotel StarDome Peru Opens In The Heart Of Sacred Valley

StarDome Peru is a luxurious boutique hotel and retreat center located in the Sacred Valley of Peru, between Cusco and Machu Picchu. It officially opened its doors on February 1, 2022, offering a unique and transformative experience for travelers. With just six rooms, the hotel is independently owned and provides an exclusive getaway at an elevation of 10,000 feet, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the local Quechuan community’s culture.

Founder Bob Berman expressed his excitement about welcoming guests to the all-inclusive retreats, stating that StarDome Peru encapsulates his personal journey with the land, its people, and the healing elements he has encountered. His spiritual exploration in 2012 led him to the Sacred Valley, where he met Carlos Gibaja, a Quechua shaman, who introduced him to the mystical aspects of the area. Inspired by the local community and Carlos’s teachings, Bob transformed his personal home into StarDome to offer others the opportunity for healing and connection with the energy of the Andes Mountains.

StarDome Peru serves as a portal to the region, providing guests with authentic cultural experiences, nature encounters, and spiritual activities aimed at promoting healing. Although the hotel is located in a remote area accessible only via a private road, guests are welcomed into a luxurious setting featuring heated marble floors, handcrafted ceramic bathrooms, and attentive local staff who lack formal hospitality training but are eager to serve.

Bob’s vision for the hotel was to not only enlighten travelers but also give back to the community. The hotel’s accommodations include five guest suites on the ground floor, each inspired by traditional Incan design and equipped with modern amenities. The Royal Mountain Suite, in particular, offers a unique experience with a double jacuzzi and private access to the stunning StarDeck™, a glass-enclosed observation deck providing panoramic views of the surroundings.

In addition to the guest suites, StarDome Peru features the Royal Apu Suite, a standalone cabin-like structure that overlooks the property. Future expansion plans include adding more suites and a healing center to accommodate larger groups. The hotel is committed to supporting the local community by employing residents, growing produce on-site, and contributing to educational initiatives with a portion of its profits.

Guests can choose from nightly stays or all-inclusive retreat packages lasting three to six days, covering accommodations, meals, transportation, and curated experiences. Rates start at $399 during the low season and $1,299 during the high season, with breakfast included at the hotel’s signature restaurant, Apu.
