Following the holiday season, watch aficionados are eagerly anticipating the newest releases from various watch brands for the upcoming year. One of the standout introductions is the IMPULSION Onyx by Louis Moinet. This remarkable timepiece, crafted in Switzerland, is limited to just 28 units and exemplifies the brand’s signature design ethos.
Having featured Louis Moinet’s masterpieces in multiple publications, I have a deep appreciation for the brand’s dedication to creating extraordinary watches. The IMPULSION Onyx is inspired by the collaboration between legendary watchmakers Abraham-Louis Breguet and Louis Moinet, ingeniously intertwining a chronograph with a tourbillon. With more than 50 prestigious awards already, Louis Moinet’s latest endeavor is set to earn more accolades.
A standout characteristic of the IMPULSION Onyx is its elaborate three-dimensional dial, which reveals the chronograph mechanism and flying tourbillon through thoughtfully arranged apertures. Encased in opulent 18-karat pink gold or Grade 5 titanium, this timepiece embodies the vision of creative director Jean Marie Schaller for the ideal dress watch.
At its core is a 36-jewel manual-winding movement developed in conjunction with Concepto, the Calibre Memoris, which is truly a feat of horological innovation. Featuring a variety of functions, including a flying tourbillon, chronograph, and a 96-hour power reserve, the IMPULSION Onyx exemplifies precision and skillful craftsmanship.
To complete the ensemble, the watch is paired with a black alligator strap and a matching folding clasp available in 18-karat pink gold or Grade 5 titanium.
