Lillet, the French aperitif wine made in Podensac, a charming village in the south of Bordeaux, has partnered with the hit Netflix series Emily In Paris to unveil two special edition bottles just in time for the upcoming fourth season. With a legacy dating back to 1872, Lillet is famed for its top-notch aperitifs that blend the richness of wine with the tang of citrus and quinine. Its adaptability in cocktails has made it a go-to ingredient for both traditional and contemporary drink recipes.
The exclusive Lillet bottles pay tribute to Emily’s enduring affection for France and fashion. The labels feature chic, couture-inspired designs showcasing the iconic Lillet woman in fashionable Parisian outfits, alongside the recognizable Emily In Paris logo. The illustrations capture elements from Emily’s wardrobe, presenting a daytime attire for Lillet Blanc and an elegant “Emily by night” look for the Lillet Rosé variation.
The pale golden Lillet Blanc delivers a delicate, slightly sweet taste profile with nuances of honey, candied orange, fresh mint, and a hint of herbs and spices. It is best enjoyed chilled over ice with a garnish of orange or lemon slice, or used in cocktails such as the Vesper Martini. Conversely, the light pink Lillet Rosé offers fruity and floral notes of ripe berries, orange blossom, and grapefruit, perfect for sipping on its own or as a key component in various cocktails.
The limited-edition Lillet Emily In Paris bottles will be available in the US starting August 1 (SRP: $23.99) and will reach international markets including Germany, Austria, Denmark, the UK, Switzerland, Belgium, The Netherlands, China, South Korea, and Brazil.
To mark the collaboration, Maison Lillet has crafted two delightful cocktails inspired by the partnership. A refined take on the classic Lillet Spritz, the “Emily Lillet Royale” stands out as a refreshing summer beverage perfect for enjoying while binge-watching season four with friends.
