Carmakers don’t always wait long before updating their vehicle lineup. While many manufacturers typically follow a yearly cycle, surprises can happen where new models are introduced midway through a model year. The 2024 Range Rover Velar has made an early appearance, and here’s what we know about it.
Featuring a sleek exterior with clean lines, Land Rover manages to blend understated elegance with a touch of boldness in the design of the 2024 Range Rover Velar.
Despite its refined look, this crossover maintains a robust stance that signifies its prowess both on and off the road. From the side, it showcases a sporty silhouette with fluid curves running from the front to the back.
Some have noted the limited color options available directly from the factory. Land Rover offers the 2024 Range Rover Velar in various shades of white, silver, black, and gray. However, for those seeking a more vibrant color, the Varesine Blue option is a great alternative.
In terms of design changes from its predecessor, there are only minimal cosmetic updates. The grille design has been refreshed and is now paired with Pixel LED headlamps. The Dynamic Bend Lighting system enhances safety when navigating dark corners. The base model is powered by a 2.0-liter P250 engine that delivers around 247 horsepower.
For a step up, the 2024 Range Rover Velar offers a 3.0-liter MHEV engine that generates 395 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque. Acceleration tests demonstrate a 5.2-second 0-60 mph sprint. Land Rover mentions that a plug-in hybrid setup is also an option in select markets.
