Lamborghini has set its sights on the next decade with a plan to embrace plug-in hybrids and ultimately electric vehicles.
In 2023, Lamborghini will kickstart the shift by introducing its initial series-production hybrid supercar. The journey towards electrification will also extend to the Urus SUV lineup with the inclusion of a plug-in hybrid powertrain.
Before the decade concludes, Lamborghini will unveil its first all-electric 2-door GT, signaling a fresh chapter in the brand’s legacy. Despite this move, the company remains committed to its V10 and V12 engines.
In 2021, Lamborghini plans to launch two new vehicles. This upcoming phase will highlight the creation of combustion engine models that pay homage to the brand’s rich history and iconic products, both past and present.
Some speculated models on the horizon include the Countach Homage, a tribute to the renowned 70s supercar, and the anticipated unveiling of the “final Aventador” by the year’s end.
