The rooftop pool and dining area at The London West Hollywood at Beverly Hills provide breathtaking vistas of the Hollywood Hills and the city skyline. Beginning at 5:30 PM, both hotel patrons and local residents can indulge in Los Angeles’ latest seasonal outdoor dining offering. This initiative, led by Executive Chef Anthony Keene, marks the second year of a partnership with Grammy-winning vocalist John Legend and his entrepreneurial spouse, Chrissy Teigen, bringing joy to diners atop the hotel’s picturesque rooftop.

Guests can opt for either a three-course prix-fixe menu or a tempting a la carte option. Highlights of the a la carte menu include shareable caviar selections, such as Ceviche & Caviar featuring wild bass, citrus, aji amarillo, and crème fraîche; Truffle French Fries with Caviar; Smoke Trout Dip served with Chips; and Tuna Tacos topped with Nori and Caviar.

This year, Chef Keene has crafted the three-course prix-fixe menu based on the ‘John’s Favorite Things’ chapter from Chrissy Teigen’s cookbook, Cravings. Each dish is paired with a carefully curated wine selection from LVE and the JC Boisset Collection.

“We are excited to reintroduce this extraordinary dining experience for our guests and the community following last year’s success,” remarked Chef Anthony Keene. “It’s an honor to collaborate once more with acclaimed artist and EGOT winner John Legend, along with his exceptional LVE wines from Napa Valley and France.”

Upon arrival, diners are treated to delicious grilled sourdough bread, accompanied by butter and olive oil. The ‘Legend and LVE at The London Rooftop’ menu also highlights a Shrimp Summer Roll filled with avocado, mint, red leaf, cucumber, and drizzled with peanut salsa matcha. Chef Anthony truly excels in both flavor and presentation.

When selecting a wine partner for LVE (Legend Vineyard Exclusive), John Legend chose winemaker JC Boisset, whose esteemed standards complement his vision. Based in Napa Valley and France, the award-winning Boisset Collection wines are celebrated for their balance and elegance.

The alluring pink hue of the LVE Rosé French Sparkling embodies the essence of a vineyard peach. This delightful wine is produced from grapes sourced from distinguished regions in France, including Loire and Languedoc, highlighting its distinctive, fruity character. Crafted using the Charmat Method and aged for three months, it boasts delicate bubbles that pair wonderfully with appetizers, main courses, and desserts.

This wine showcases a varietal blend consisting of 10% Pinot Noir, 10% Grenache, and an 80% White Varietal Blend (comprised of Ugni Blanc, Colombard, and Chardonnay), offering a fruity aroma and delightful bubbles. Tasting reveals notes of red currants and citrus, culminating in vibrant acidity.

A standout appetizer features seared scallops nestled atop a bed of white beans, snap peas, sautéed kale, and porcini mushrooms, perfectly complemented by LVE Chardonnay Carneros. This luxurious white wine is layered and well-balanced, with enticing scents of pear, gardenia, and melon, lingering on the palate with flavors of vanilla, brioche, allspice, and lemon zest.

This Chardonnay is a collaborative blend from four vineyards (three in Carneros and one in Napa), selected for their distinct growing conditions to achieve the ideal balance of acidity, freshness, and richness.

Main course highlights include Sweet Chili and Mustard-Glazed Salmon served on a bed of Bloomsdale spinach; Brick Spring Chicken accompanied by charred lemon and garlic broccoli rabe; and a Beef Wellington designed for two, served alongside John Legend’s signature Mac & Cheese Gratinee. These dishes are complemented by LVE Cabernet Sauvignon.

Throughout your dining experience, the soothing melodies of John Legend provide a captivating backdrop, enhancing this multi-sensory meal.

Desserts, crafted by Pastry Chef Nidia De Los Santos at The London West Hollywood, include two special options on the three-course menu: a delightful Berry Pavlova and an old-fashioned vanilla cake with chocolate frosting and vanilla ice cream. Both desserts pair beautifully with the LVE French Sparkling Rosé.

This memorable multi-course menu is priced at $85 per person, with an additional $35 for wine pairings.

For those in search of something unique, the a la carte dessert menu features a Basque-style blueberry cheesecake served with blueberry ice cream and a strawberry Napoleon accompanied by strawberry ice cream.

Legend and LVE at The London Rooftop outdoor culinary experience, available from 5:30 PM to 10 PM. Reservations can be made via OpenTable.
