The 2023 Porsche Cayenne has undergone an extensive upgrade, making it the most luxurious and high-performing version to date. The third generation of Cayenne has received significant changes to its chassis, powertrain, equipment, design, and performance, resulting in elevated comfort for everyday use. This upgrade is considered to be the most extensive in Porsche’s history.
The new Cayenne features the latest Porsche Driver Experience, which was first introduced in the Porsche Taycan, making it a global bestseller. It also has updated headlights, a larger grille, three-dimensional tail lights, and a wide range of alloy wheels. The vehicle offers three new colors and an option for lightweight sports packages, reducing the weight of the Cayenne Coupe.
Inside the updated Cayenne, there is a new fully digital 12.6-inch instrument cluster with an optimized head-up display, as well as an additional infotainment screen for the front passenger. The multimedia setup provides a comprehensive range of controls and functions. Both the Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe feature the improved Porsche InnoDrive, which assists drivers in traffic jams and dangerous situations.
Under the hood, the Cayenne facelift offers three engine options. The three-liter V6 petrol engine now delivers 343 bhp, an increase of 12.8 bhp from the previous version. The Cayenne Turbo GT is equipped with a four-liter V8 biturbo engine, replacing the previous V6 engine and delivering 650 bhp. The E-Hybrid variant features the same three-liter engine with an added plug-in hybrid system, resulting in a total output of 463 bhp. Porsche has also included performance-enhancing features such as Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), six-positioned aluminum monobloc brake calipers, and adaptive air suspension.
In a competitive segment that includes rivals like the Range Rover Sport, Mercedes-Benz GLE, Jaguar F-Pace, and Audi Q8, the 2023 Porsche Cayenne stands out as the sportiest car.
