The latest creation from Iddes Yachts, the Class 55 superyacht, is designed to provide sailors with a seamless connection to the seas without any limitations. At 55 meters in size, this luxury yacht embodies the spirit of adventure and exploration that the company is known for, giving its owners the freedom to pursue any endeavor, anywhere.
At the heart of the vessel is a commitment to fostering a deep bond between humanity and the ocean, allowing up to 12 passengers to embark on a range of experiences. With dimensions of 10.5 meters in width and a draft of 2.5-3.0 meters, the yacht can cruise at speeds of 12-15 knots, covering a distance of approximately 5,000 nautical miles. Whether embarking on daring expeditions or leisurely voyages in tranquil waters, guests can expect a high level of comfort during extended stays aboard (up to 30-40 days at sea) as they detach from their busy lives.
“The Class 55 blends twenty years of expertise in superyacht construction and design from Iddes Yachts into a distinctive superyacht series. After a lifetime in yachting, this is the yacht I envision building for myself, without a doubt,” said Iván Salas Jefferson, the Founder of Iddes Yachts.
The vessel’s length, constructed from a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, was carefully chosen to accommodate all essential amenities while ensuring easy navigation in picturesque hidden locales and marinas. Owners have the option to include a helideck on the yacht, which can transport tenders, equipment, and amphibious vehicles for accessing remote areas and, if needed, facilitate helicopter landings.
Taking inspiration from Iván Salas Jefferson’s passion for the sea and closeness to the ocean, the Class 55 serves as a luxurious exploration vessel that strengthens the connection between humans and the ocean. Seamlessly incorporating the latest design trends and comforts, the yacht is engineered to merge comfort and luxury seamlessly.
While each yacht is fully customizable, the hybrid design of the vessel was conceived to optimize the construction process efficiently. By integrating design, construction, and operations with a unified goal, the yacht stands out for its sleek design, efficient use of materials, streamlined construction timeline, and overall aesthetic appeal. Featuring five decks with over 890m² of interior space and 700m² of exterior space, the yacht also includes a versatile crane capable of lifting five tons and a 185m² loading deck.
Offering the option of a hydro hybrid power plant propulsion, the Class 55 ensures that its presence will have minimal impact on the environments it sails through.
