G-Shock introduces a new model within its high-end MT-G collection inspired by the Blue Phoenix, also known as the Chinese phoenix, a symbol associated with luck, immortality, and rebirth.
The latest addition, the G-Shock MTGB2000PH2, is a limited-edition watch crafted from steel and carbon, featuring a striking rainbow-colored bezel and case. The predominantly blue hue of the watch is complemented by flashes of yellow to red on the IP-finished case. The vibrant colors extend to the dial, including accents of purple, pink, orange, and yellow.
To create a distinctive look, G-Shock used two types of colorful IP finishing on the watch, with a horizontal gradation on the bezel and a vertical gradation on the case. This technique results in a unique color pattern for each watch, ensuring that each G-Shock MTGB2000PH2 model is one-of-a-kind.
This release follows G-Shock’s previous exploration of colorful IP-finished cases and bracelets, such as the rainbow-finished MTGB1000RB-2A introduced two years ago. The brand also recently unveiled colorful models in the Full Metal Series. Most notably, G-Shock made waves with the launch of the gold and rainbow-colored GMWB5000TR-9, the first titanium G-Shock featuring an all-mirror IP finish.
As part of the MT-G collection, the watch offers Bluetooth connectivity to sync with the G-Shock Connected app. It also includes a range of technical features typical of G-Shock, like a sapphire crystal, Carbon Core Guard structure, Tough Solar Power, high-brightness LED illumination, dual time, and chronograph functions.
The G-Shock MTG-B2000PH is priced at $1,100 and will be available from June onwards at G-Shock retailers, the G-Shock Soho Store, and gshock.com.
