It’s not often that we have a spare £1.25 million lying around here at The Status Life. But if we ever did, we would probably invest it in something as stunning as this 1968 Lamborghini Miura P400 designed by Bertone, which will be auctioned by RM Sotheby’s in St Moritz. This car is considered the original modern supercar and is in impeccable condition, justifying its high price tag.
Departing the factory on March 4, 1968, this stunning Miura bears production no. 135, making a short trip to Milan before being handed over to Mr. Bongiasca through Lamborghini dealer Lamborcar. By 1998, the car was in California under the ownership of Donald Sullivan. In early 2009, it went up for sale and was equipped with a Chevrolet V-8 and ZF transaxle, believed to have been sourced from a De Tomaso Mangusta. Subsequently, it was taken to Sweden for a thorough restoration to return it to its original glory, complete with the appropriate Miura P400 drivetrain.
