Introducing the Demey 60 Spaceship, this custom-crafted superyacht features a modern profile that highlights its remarkable capabilities on the water, thanks to its sleek and hydrodynamic shape.
In a bid to captivate prospective buyers, the shipyard opted for an unconventional method to demonstrate the vessel’s performance. The inaugural Demey 60 Spaceship was delivered to Sydney, Australia, where the company’s founder, Nic de Mey, personally navigated the catamaran across the challenging Tasman Sea.
Despite enduring hazardous conditions during the 1,300-mile odyssey from Tauranga to Sydney Harbor, the 60 Spaceship made its arrival in superb condition with ample fuel reserves. Measuring 60 feet in overall length and featuring a beam of 22 feet, this yacht ensures a lavish experience, equipped with four cabins, a forward owner’s suite, and numerous onboard amenities.
Equipped with twin Cummins QSB6.7 550 engines, each generating 550 horsepower, the 60 Spaceship achieves a remarkable top speed of 26 knots and has the capability to travel up to 2,238 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 9.3 knots. Buyers also have the flexibility to customize the flybridge, opting for solar panels or a hardtop configuration.
