Citizen has unveiled its latest Attesa GPS watch, showcasing the brand’s fascination with the cosmos through the incorporation of Satellite Wave technology and a striking space-blue bezel and central bracelet links.
To mark the 35th anniversary of the Attesa collection, Citizen’s new timepiece reflects the brand’s exploration of space in its design. The starry dial of the watch hints at Citizen’s partnership with the Hakuto-R lunar exploration program.
In a nod to its collaboration with the Hakuto-R mission, where Citizen supplied Super Titanium parts for the Series 1 Lander’s legs, the same coating is used on this model and other premium models in the Hakuto-R series. Super Titanium is a specialized alloy that offers durability, lightness, hypoallergenic properties, scratch resistance, and corrosion resistance for the 44mm watch.
The timepiece is further enhanced by Citizen’s advanced Duratec DLC coating on the bracelet and bezel, with a distinctive blue hue on the center links of the titanium bracelet, complemented by a glossy black finish. The watch features a secure fold-over clasp with a button closure.
Powering the watch is Citizen’s innovative F950 movement, enabling the Eco-Drive Satellite Wave GPS functions. Capable of receiving time signals within seconds, the hands move at double the speed of previous models.
As a GPS watch, it boasts a range of sophisticated features, including world time in 27 cities across 40 time zones, a chronograph, dual time zones, UTC display, perpetual calendar, daylight savings time adjustment, and power reserve and light level indicators.
On the watch’s case back, Citizen pays tribute to the 35 years of the Citizen Attesa collection.
