Two years have passed since Bugatti unveiled the one-off La Voiture Noire. Initially revealed as a concept at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, it is now ready in its final production form to be delivered to its fortunate owner.
La Voiture Noire was created as a homage to the long-lost Type 57SC Atlantic that belonged to Bugatti’s founder, Jean Bugatti. Positioned as the ultimate coach-built Bugatti, this unique hypercar comes with a staggering price tag of $18.9 million.
The production variant remains faithful to the initial concept, featuring a distinctive front end with a large horseshoe grille and a signature headlamp design. The back of the car showcases a continuous strip of LEDs with the Bugatti emblem placed in the center.
Bugatti’s decision to retain the striking six exhaust tips and to design exclusive wheels for La Voiture Noire, reminiscent of those on the concept, was well-received.
Powering La Voiture Noire is the same 16-cylinder engine found in the Chiron. The 8.0-liter W16 generates 1,500 hp and 1180 lb-ft of torque. It is improbable that the owner will need to utilize the entire 1,500 horsepower.
