Today, many automakers offer SUVs with impressive power and performance that can handle racetracks with some modifications. These models often boast sportier designs and enhanced aerodynamics. ABT Sportline, however, takes things a step further by transforming Audi’s platform into a race-ready vehicle, known as the RSQ8 Signature Edition.
The German tuner claims that the RS Q8, which serves as the base model, is no longer just a sport utility vehicle but has been elevated to “the world’s only racing utility vehicle.” The stock RS Q8 delivers 600 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque, capable of accelerating from 0-62 mph in 3.8 seconds. In comparison, the RSQ8 Signature Edition boasts a modified 4.0-liter V8 engine that produces 800 horsepower and 737.6 lb-ft of torque, accelerating to 62 mph in just 3.2 seconds.
This means a substantial increase of 200 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque over the standard version. The RSQ8 Signature Edition can achieve a top speed of around 196 mph when pushed to its limits. Despite these significant enhancements, ABT Sportline ensures that the vehicle remains street-legal.
To complement the power upgrade, the RSQ8 Signature Edition features a Carbon Bold aero kit, adding a touch of sophistication to its sleek exterior. The carbon fiber elements, such as the front splitter, side skirts, wheel arches, rear diffuser, air intake grilles, and exhaust surrounds, enhance the vehicle’s overall appearance.
The custom glossy black forged wheels, equipped with Continental SportContact 6 tires and self-leveling hubcaps, efficiently distribute power to the permanent all-wheel-drive system. Additionally, ABT Sportline’s Level Control system allows owners to fine-tune the vehicle’s handling characteristics. Inside, the interior receives luxurious enhancements tailored to elevate the driving experience.
