The latest unveiling from McLaren is the Artura, their inaugural series-produced High-Performance Hybrid supercar, also known as a Hypercar.
- The McLaren Artura is now available for pre-order, starting at $225,000, with deliveries scheduled to commence in October.
- The Artura is the very first vehicle constructed on McLaren’s novel Carbon Lightweight Architecture, resulting in a weight of approximately 3,300 lbs.
- This impressive car is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 gasoline engine along with an electric motor and a high-capacity battery pack, generating a combined 671 bhp and 530 lb ft of torque.
- With an electronically restricted top speed of 205 mph, the Artura can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 3 seconds and reach 124 mph in only 8.3 seconds.
- Its battery pack boasts five lithium-ion modules and can be charged while driving through the combustion engine, depending on the chosen driving mode. When in electric-only mode, the Artura can cover a distance of around 18 miles and hit a maximum speed of about 80 mph.
- The plug-in hybrid can be charged to 80% in just 2.5 hours, offering convenience and efficiency for users.
