In 2020, the travel and hospitality sector faced significant challenges, but with the arrival of vaccines in 2021, there is hope for recovery. This year, expect a wave of exciting new hotel openings worldwide, including the highly anticipated launch of Mexico’s first luxury experience-inclusive brand, Paradero Hotels, opening in Todos Santos on January 15.

Established in 1724, Todos Santos, a serene town on the Baja Peninsula, has always attracted surfers, adventurers, artists, and free spirits. Recognized as a “Pueblo Magico” by the Mexican Government in 2006, its picturesque desert-ocean blend made it an ideal location for the 35-suite property envisioned by business partners Pablo Carmona and Josh Kremer.

Embrace the Bohemian Vibe in Baja

Spread across five acres in a Mesa farming community, Paradero Todos Santos blends seamlessly with its natural surroundings. The minimalist indoor-outdoor design by Mexican-Swiss architects Yektajo & Valdez incorporates earth-toned concrete and Tornillo timber. The interiors, appointed by design firm B Huber, feature custom-made furnishings and textiles from artisans in Oaxaca and Guadalajara.

The Garden Suites offer hammocks, some with outdoor circular soaking tubs, and views of cacti forests. Rooftop Suites provide star nets for stargazing with mountain and ocean vistas. The opulent corner Master Casita spans three floors with a kitchenette, dining area, and private plunge pool. All bathrooms boast rain showers and organic Mexican-made amenities.

    Eco-Friendly Travel & Wellness

Eco-conscious travelers will appreciate the Ojo de Agua Spa, shaded by palms and offering healing sound baths, Temazcal ceremonies, and hot and cold plunge pools. The rooftop serves as a yoga deck, while an Instagram-worthy infinity pool and half-moon lounge deck await guests.

At the heart of the property lies a 100,000-square-foot botanical garden housing 80 native plant species. The on-site restaurant utilizes produce from Paradero’s chili garden, featuring Oaxacan-inspired dishes. The public can enjoy pre-dinner cocktails at the open-fire kitchen or visit the Living Room, a community hub to meet local guides and learn about available experiences.

Enjoy the Sea Breeze and Starlit Skies

Just five minutes from Todos Santos and Pescadero by car (with shuttle service available), guests can explore leisurely and partake in activities like food tours, cooking classes, SUP yoga, guided hikes, and surfing lessons at Cerritos or San Pedrito beach.

With a commitment to sustainability, community development, and conservation, Paradero aims to offer a guest experience rooted in adventure and sensory delight. Rates begin at $550 per night, inclusive of experiences. For more details, visit the website paraderohotels.com.
