The New York City Concours is bringing something exciting to the Palm Beach International Boat Show this year with its debut on Friday night.
The event organizers have revealed a fantastic new offering – an exclusive VIP event that will provide guests with a premium open bar serving gourmet food and early access to the boat show.
“We are planning to make this event an annual affair starting next year,” shared Maria Jannace, CEO and founder of the Cars & Culture Concours Series, which includes The New York City Concours and Fort Lauderdale Concours. “This year is our trial run, and we have already generated quite a bit of excitement.”
The Windward VIP Experience aims to bring together boating enthusiasts and car lovers for a unique gathering on Friday night from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.
“The Friday event in Palm Beach will be an exclusive preview event with Lotus as the sponsor,” noted Jannace. “Lotus will showcase their new sports car Emira, and there will be a dozen other impressive vehicles on display. This year’s event will be more of a three-hour cocktail party as a preview of what’s to come next year. Guests can look forward to a performance by the Valerie Tyson Band, as well as an art gallery curated by Vincent Peters.”
After establishing her advertising and sports management companies, Maxim Creative Group and Maxim Sports Management, Inc., in Fort Lauderdale in the late 80s, Jannace worked with clients such as the Florida Marlins, Miami Dolphins, and Florida Panthers. Now based in New York City, she is dedicated to making the classic and collector car hobby more accessible to a broader audience.
“There are many high-end events in Palm Beach, but what we offer is unique,” remarked Jannace. “We aim to attract a younger, more diverse audience because if the younger generation loses interest in classic cars, what will happen to these treasures? Our work in New York has shown that there is a demand for this type of event. I want to reignite your passion for attending such events.”
Guests of the Windward VIP Experience also receive one-day general admission access to the Palm Beach Modern + Contemporary Art Fair occurring alongside the Palm Beach International Boat Show.

The New York City Concours is scheduled for September 16 on the rooftop at Pier 17. The Fort Lauderdale Concours will take place at the Superyacht Village in conjunction with the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show on October 27.
