Richard Branson’s vision for space tourism is evident with the introduction of the VSS Imagine, the first spacecraft in Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShip III series. This spacecraft shares design elements with the SpaceShipTwo but stands out with its striking mirror polish silver and blue exterior, which not only looks impressive but also serves as thermal protection.
By focusing on the SpaceShip 3 catalog, Virgin Galactic aims to improve maintenance access and flight rate, setting the stage for future spacecraft designs. Despite economic challenges brought on by the pandemic, Virgin Galactic remains committed to innovation, with plans to test the VSS Imagine and develop the VSS Inspire, another spacecraft in the SpaceShip 3 series.
