The 2022 Audi Q5 S 45 TSFI Quattro is big on comfort and provides a quiet smooth ride. Powered by a 261-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and with a massive sunroof and comfy interior, we found it the perfect SUV for a road trip to San Diego.

The Audi Q5S 45 is available with a turbocharged gas four-cylinder engine or a more powerful plug-in hybrid powertrain. The new sporty styling includes a 19” wheel design, power-adjustable steering column and adaptive cruise control.
Interior
The Q5S 45 is roomy enough for five adults and is an exceptionally quiet ride. So quiet that my guest seat rider asked if it was a hybrid. The virtual cockpit 10.1-inch screen is easily visible above the steering wheel and allows drivers to choose between a map/navigation, speedometer/tachometer, phone, playlist and other options all easily controlled via voice commands or steering wheel controls.
Front seats offer heating and cooling options with firm support. Flashing lights on side mirrors indicate cars moving close to our vehicle and alert drivers to any cars in blind spots. The Audi houses 25.8 cubic feet of storage and an added plus is the rear seats fold into a 40/20/40 configuration, providing nice flexibility for storage. We were able to connect easily to Apple CarPlay and the cabin includes both plug in and wireless charging for phones.
Lots to Love
We also loved the panoramic glass sunroof , which provides riders several natural light options. When loading the trunk, the power liftgate came in handy for luggage. We found the blind spot monitor informing us if vehicles were in blind spots extremely helpful on a mostly freeway drive from LA to San Diego. We also loved the front and rear parking sensors and surround view camera system to help navigate obstacles when parking.
The Audi Q5S 45 TFSI Quattro provided an extremely confortable, quiet and luxurious ride to San Diego.
