From the 15th floor of the Cordis hotel in downtown Auckland, guests can enjoy stunning views of the city skyline, waterfront, Rangitoto Island, and the vast sea. Formerly known as the Langham Auckland, the hotel is now operated by the Langham Hospitality Group and is called Cordis. It boasts 640 rooms and suites spread across 17 floors, including the Pinnacle Tower, making it the largest hotel in New Zealand.

The hotel features an impressive collection of artwork that highlights Maori traditions and culture. Notable pieces include a five-meter tall bronze sculpture called ‘Holding up the Sky’ by artist Sanne Mestrom in the lobby, showcasing the Maori goddess, Ika-Roa. Additionally, there are paintings by Amanda Gruenwald, sculptures by Seung Yul Oh, and stone carvings by Joe Sheehan throughout the hotel.

Guest rooms at Cordis are tastefully decorated with minimalist furnishings, a comfortable sitting area, and a lavish bathroom stocked with Christophe Laudamiel toiletries. Visitors can relax at the hotel’s club lounge managed by Sachin Nayak or rejuvenate at the tranquil spa during their stay.

Dining options at Cordis are a culinary delight, featuring a diverse breakfast buffet, luxurious afternoon tea at the Chandelier Lounge, and unforgettable dinners at the ‘Our Land Is Alive’ restaurant. Guests can savor innovative cocktails like the ‘Aotearoa New Fashioned’ and ‘Pomegranate Martini’ expertly crafted by mixologist Yogi Mahordika and served with a friendly smile by waitress Aarti Mistry.

The Chuan Spa, overseen by Sonia Prasad, offers a rejuvenating experience with treatments like the ‘harmony massage.’ The hotel’s commitment to sustainability is evident through initiatives like EarthCheck certification and rooftop beekeeping, which resonated with our eco-conscious values.

Situated uptown, Cordis is conveniently located near top attractions in Auckland, making it an ideal starting point for exploring the city. Whether guests want to visit the Auckland museum, explore the lively K Road area, or take a leisurely stroll along the waterfront, Cordis provides a luxurious and environmentally conscious retreat in the heart of Auckland.
